Girraween National Park is one of my favourite locations to visit. It is located 260 km south-west of Brisbane in Queensland Australia on the border with NSW. Wondrous granite outcrops and mountains, crystal clear waters and beautiful displays of wildflowers beginning near winters end are some of the attractions to see. I think the best time to go is in winter when the wildflowers are on display and the cool nights keep most of the campers away, meaning greater solitude.
An excellent place for hiking with several well defined tracks or spending a week camping to get away from busy city life. This film shows the Junction, Granite Arch, The Pyramids, Castle Rock and The Sphinx.
