Great Ocean Road

Cruising the GOR Departing Melbourne in the morning I headed west towards the Great Ocean Road. It is quite famous due to its beauty, being a coastal road with stunning views of our sandstone cliffs being pounded by wild waves. Unlucky for me the weather had turned and it would be 3 days of wind and showers with the occasional …

Day 142 – Melbourne

Melbourne

Capital of Victoria Before heading to Melbourne I took a drive up near Bendigo to volunteer at a yoga retreat. It was more a property with a mud brick hall where the owner ran classes on occasion away from her yoga studio in town. I found this through www.helpx.net. The idea is to volunteer your time, in my case 5 …

I headed in to Mornington to drop my car off at a Land Rover specialist to give my Defender a meticulous service and check over in preparation for my intended trip across the Simpson Desert in several weeks time. Unfortunately as it turned out there was plenty to do including rebuild the front swivel hubs and replace the turbocharger. This …

I followed a dirt track down to …

It’s interesting how the landscape changes from rural sheep grazing country to suddenly a big city. Canberra was …
