G’day I’m Brett and welcome to my Australian travel blog.
Australia is truly a great and beautiful country blessed with wide open spaces, vast forests, deserts and coastlines to explore. Add to that the myriad of quirky country and coastal towns, there is so much to experience. And yet many people wait till retirement to begin their explorations, or to complete the big lap. Waiting for a day which may never come. A dream in the future, their ‘someday’.
What if I asked you to take one year off work and explore Australia. Just one year. See yourself now, where would you go, what would you do?…
Does your mind awaken with ideas, with excitement for the places you’ve always wanted to visit? Does that make you feel alive compared to the feeling of being stuck at work again tomorrow?
It’s always been a desire of mine to get away from the big smoke and explore the great wilderness areas that Australia has to offer. I think it’s a shame that so many people have to wait till they’ve retired before getting the chance to do the big trip. So I’m not going to wait it out 30 years and hope I’m still physically able or wealthy enough.. I’m doing it NOW.
For better or worse, NOW is the time for ADVENTURE!
Day 1 of my trip around Australia began on 9th February 2015 and was completed on the 9th December 2015. 3 years of preparation paid off! You can follow my blog posts here: My Outback Blog. Or you can check out my Previous Trips.
