Defender Day 2016 AULRO Queensland

Defender Owners Unite

Defender Day 2016 was held in October near the Scenic Rim by the Australian Land Rover Owners forum (AULRO.com). About 50 Defenders showed up for the day along with a Series Land Rover and a Uni-mog. A great turn out at a family and dog friendly event. Various sponsors provided prizes which were randomly drawn on a first in first choice basis. Special thanks to the Expedition Centre for my $100 gift certificate.

Most of the Defenders were 110’s, ranging from stock to highly modified beasts for long term overlanding. There were various lift kits, awnings, accessories and a few Mulgo pop tops also on display. It was a great chance to catch up with fellow owners and look over each others trucks.

The next Defender Day is rumored to be in 2018 which will mark the 70th anniversary of the original Land Rover and is currently the expected release year for the New Defender model. It should be a big one!

Below is a small selection of the photos I took on the day.
