Dorrigo National Park

I depart the town of Dorrigo and take a short drive down the road to Dorrigo national park. The Dorrigo Rainforest Centre is the starting point of many of the bushwalks. The centre has a pretty decent gift shop and café. The Skywalk is just out the back.. probably a little overrated for what it is. Still nice to stand above the canopy.

I completed the Wonga walk, a 3 hour track passing through subtropical rainforest and over a couple waterfalls. I was pretty puffed afterwards with a long uphill walk greeting me after my casual stroll.

Also visited the Never Never picnic area for lunch. It’s much quieter, accessed by gravel road. I originally thought I’d be spending a few days in Dorrigo, but I pretty much saw a good overview of the park in 1 day. So I decided to head off towards Sydney, pulling in along the way to Griffiths Mountain Top Lookout. Time is running out.. winter is coming fast.
