The Great Sale – Ebay Time

Yes. It’s time. Time to let it go. When did I last use that again? 1999? Mmm. Think it’s time to send it to that great big auction house online. EBAY TIME!

There comes a time when possessions begin to possess us. Where what once was something of use, treasured, loved, now becomes a dead weight, consuming our energy, our space, our focus, and even our money.  Storage sheds are filled with junk all over Australia that hasn’t been used or needed in years!!

How much “stuff” do we really need to survive and live a happy fulfilled life. Time to declutter and make some cold hard CASH for life experiences that I can take with me to whatever lies beyond.

That violin I bought 6 years ago in the belief I could teach myself how to play… that I can’t take with me. $60 SOLD. Broken UHF radio I could never get to work?  $20 SOLD.   Seriously? Mmm… 5 old Land Rover badges.. Was going to throw them out.. probably not worth anything…. listed on Ebay instead. $40 SOLD.  You’re kidding me!

$500 made from old stuff sitting round collecting dust.. YES PLEASE! I’m gonna need more crap to sell!  🙂

But alas.. the hardest to let go of all… My 1965 Mini Morris Deluxe I fully restored over 4 1/2 years with my Dad when I was a teenager.

Since buying my Defender it’s sat in the garage unused. Unloved. I could never bear to let it go.. but time to get real. It’s 1000’s of dollars wasting away which could be used to finance a couple months on the road. I will always have my memories. It served me well, teaching me all the mechanical skills I now possess which are used on my Land Rover today. Someone else can restore her to her former glory and use her for what she was made for. Going around corners fast!!  🙂

If you want to help finance my trip keep your eyes on Ebay! Will be listing my Mini soon!
